Our centre offers a literacy program called "Fun Family Phonics" and builds strong early readers. We are a community service provider accepting British Columbia government subsidy for all families on a limited income. Currently we offer licensed preschool programming, year round, with two school closures for facility cleaning. Staffing employment opportunities From time to time, we are looking for qualified staff for our ministry team at Sowing Seeds. Please check below for all upcoming opportunities: We are actively searching for ECE teachers to join our ministry team at Sowing Seeds Preschool 2012/2013. Early childhood teachers must be fully qualified and licensed with both their basic and post basic education. Parents are welcome to join us on our field trip to HR MacMillan Space Centre. The bus will leave at 8:15 am returning to our centre at 2:30pm pending traffic. The fee for this trip is $10.00 per participant and payment will only be accepted in cash, prepaid by the 18th of May. Participation forms will be sent home on the 14th and completed forms with payment should be in by the 18th. A sign up sheet for parent volunteers will go up on the 7th of May allowing 5 parents from both the morning and afternoon classes to participate. Siblings of our students are unable to come with us as the bus that is being used for transportation only hold enough for Sowing Seeds students, parents and staff. All children are encouraged to participate as this is a highlight for all children graduating from our school. Now is an excellent time to book off the day from work and join us for a space adventure. Please note that all children are welcomed and are placed in an adult, supervised group throughout our journey. Lunch/snacks and drinks will be provided by your family in a small backpack.

Our " Ready to Read" program will begin registering exisiting students for levels one (Kindergarten -Grade one) or two (advanced grade one -grade 3). Please save your seat now for September 2012!Your child must be enrolled in K to Grade 3 to qualify for this program.
Picture Day is Wednesday and Thursday May 2 and 3rd
Bring a rock to school this month for an art project before May 10th. All students who do this will be entered in a draw for a special Mother's day gift for mom!
Pink Day will be celebrated May 10 & 11th. Bring or wear something pink on those days.
